About the Role
As the Environmental Compliance Administrative Specialist I youll be the organizational backbone of a team dedicated to protecting the environment. Youll provide highlevel administrative support to our Pretreatment Pollution Prevention and Urban Runoff programs plus assist our Technical Services group and Customer Service Team.

Youll also play a key role in keeping things running smoothly at the front desk serving as the daily backup to our Front Desk Receptionist.

What Youll Be Doing:
  • Preparing industry permits inspection reports and enforcement letters for environmental compliance programs
  • Supporting pollution prevention efforts like dental mercury reduction FOG (fats oils & grease) and outreach campaigns
  • Entering and tracking data from inspections and enforcement activities
  • Providing administrative support for regular and special projects
  • Assisting with customer service and front desk operations as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of college (or equivalent experience) with coursework in business and computer applications PLUS two years of responsible administrative or technical office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business software.
  • Ability to learn specialized software used in environmental compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a teamfirst mindset.

This position is part of a flexibly staffed series. After one year of service and demonstrated proficiency incumbents may be eligible to promote to Administrative Specialist II.
