Salary:
This position pays an average of $79/hour depending on experience.
Description of Role:
SRI Telecom is currently in search of an RF Engineer possessing pertinent expertise in 5G/LTE. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for cluster/market optimization and acceptance of the 5G Standalone (SA) Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network. This role involves continuous focus on performance optimization and automation to guarantee the utmost efficiency of the network ultimately contributing to heightened customer satisfaction.
Tasks:
- Plan RAN optimization activities by aligning with Site Development team
- Ensure configuration preparedness and site readiness checklist prior to launching new clusters and markets
- Analyze 5G SA network performance on a cluster and market level.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools (SQL Python) for optimization processes.
- Collaborate with planning and deployment teams to improve future 5G offload network designs
- Cluster and Site mapping using GIS tools such as QGIS Atoll and XCAP
- Use desktop tools to troubleshoot and optimize 5G network with minimal field testing
- Responsible for auditing and remediating CIQ Gold Standards Spectrum SAS SON and neighbors
- Development automation and maintenance of CM & PM tools reports audits and dashboards
- Other Duties as assigned
Skills & Responsibilities:
- BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years LTE & 5G NR RF Optimization experience
- Subject matter expert of 5G call flows counters KPI formulas and troubleshooting
- In depth working knowledge of 5G NR SA architecture SON and Core functions
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Samsung 5G RAN and USM
- Experience with CBRS spectrum SAS provider and CBRS CPI certified
- Proficiency in using network optimization tools and performance monitoring systems
- Hands on knowledge of NetScout tools: TrueCall nBA nSA nG1
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python) for automation purposes
- Ability to develop and automate complex SQL queries (Oracle/Redshift/MongoDB/etc)
- Experience with Accuver XCAL/XCAP with ability to analyze Layer 3 logs
- Competent with Site Tracker Blue Planet Tableau QGIS Atoll
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and MS Teams
- Ability to manage 3rd party optimization and drive testing vendors daily
- Excellent communication collaboration and Team work skills
