Position Details:
  • Location: Columbus OpCo 1982 Commerce Rd. Springfield OH 45504
  • Work Schedule: Monday Friday 7AM to completion of shift and subject to change based on business needs including occasional night shift for PTO coverage
  • Travel: limited possibly for initial training
  • Compensation: Base salary plus bonus potential based on KPIs!! or do we want to advertise $55k$60k

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing inventory through the proper receiving storage rotation and transfer of product within the warehouse or tointernal and/or external locations. Ensures control on all merchandise being handled both for freshness and loss (shrink) and ongoingmaintenance of slot locations and warehouse layout as well as the coordination of brokers and manufacturers in the process ofdispositioning slow or outdated product. Manages assigned staff to ensure accurate inventories are maintained at all as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve thecompany.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervises associates to include but not limited to: staffing training coaching performance management and problem resolution.
  • Ensures all products are received as ordered and are not damaged or out of code. Manages the proper storage and rotation ofproduct to ensure product freshness to customer and to provide constant check on product in stock.
  • Determines the acceptance or refusal of damaged or outofcode product from customers and sells or disposes of same. Maintainslog and creates Supplier Requests for Credit (SRCs) on damaged products and returns to ascertain credits from the returned merchandise is properly handled.
  • Oversees the daily cycle counts based on product movement and dollar values. Adjusts schedules based on new/deleted itemssuppliers or problem areas. Researches and adjusts inventory variances after analyzing credits issued and credits pending.
  • Utilizes the computer system to its fullest capacity to manage inventory levels and maximizes warehouse storage. Expedites trackingand monitoring reports of inbound freight on the system. Ensures all information entered into the system is complete and accurate.
  • Maintains all slot location management including the process of adding or deleting Stock Keeping Units (SKU) based on market ormanufacturing conditions. Routinely reviews locations and layout for maximum productivity.
  • Monitors transfers of product to other locations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory control management
  • Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and apply strong math skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and intermediate general computer skills.
  • Must be able to learn or have experience with AS400 and SAP.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to system quickly as well as adapt to changes quickly.

Required Qualifications
High School Degree or General Educational Development (GED)
At least 2 years of inventory control/management or related area

Preferred Qualifications
Associates / 2year technical Business Management Logistics or related area
46 years of inventory control/management within foodservice industry
4 years of supervisory experience
OSHA Forklift operator certificate
