NICU Transport Registered Respiratory TherapistLocation(s) : Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock : FT Day Position ( 12 hour shifts) 6:30 am 7:00 pmJOB SUMMARYThe Registered Respiratory Therapist Transport provides patient care in a mobile environment to highrisk patients and their families being transported. The Respiratory Therapist Transport acts as a hospitalwide resource for establishing and maintaining a highquality standard of care for the neonatal and pediatric transport population. Accountable for organizing implementing and coordinating patient care as directed by the Physician for the purpose of stabilization of the transfer to a tertiary or Special Care FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEPerforms and directs the administration of respiratory care services (including but not limited to oxygen therapy aerosol therapy inhaled medication airway clearance intubation invasive and noninvasive ventilation and bedside spirometry) as ordered by a patient attending physician in a quality manner that is in accordance with established procedures. Administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency physicians orders examines patients diagnostic test results and provides appropriate therapy based on the patients current clinical condition.
