Position Summary
The Department of Leadership and Counseling at the University of Idaho is seeking a fulltime nontenure track Clinical Faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join our Educational Leadership team. This position is contingent on work and/or funding. Rank is negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in the department and college bylaws. This position is designed for a dynamic educator and practitioner committed to preparing future K12 administrators including principals superintendents and directors of special education. Key responsibilities include: Delivering highquality instruction and mentorship Engaging in community outreach and service activities Contributing to program department and collegelevel committees and events The role emphasizes teaching excellence with no research obligations. The position offers flexibility for remote work with some required inperson attendance for new faculty orientation and select collegelevel meetings. There is potential for an annual summer contract to be negotiated with the Department Chair/Dean. We are looking for a candidate who can contribute significantly to our mission of developing effective educational leaders for Idahos schools. This position has a flexible work location and the candidate has the option of working out of our Boise or Moscow campuses or work remotely with a few required inperson events such as new faculty orientation and select collegelevel meetings.
Required Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership Educational Administration or closely related field. Experience teaching advising leadership and service in higher education settings or relevant experience. Minimum three years successful contracted K12 administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Administrative experience in K12 schools and/or central office. Experience in leading or participating in collaborative efforts with local state and national partners. Experience designing curriculum and instruction. Experience with technology and its role in education. Experience with internal and external collaborative partnerships. An established record as a scholar in the field of K12 educational leadership.
