Job Description

MENTAL HEALTH MONEY ADVICE OFFICER

Location: Home based covering all of N Ireland and providing regional cover when required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Starting Salary: 28482 (Band 3.1)

Fixed term contract to 31 March 2026

Closing date: 12 noon 14th May 2025

All our roles make a positive impact on the lives of others the purpose of this role is to:

To provide holistic money advice to clients who are experiencing both poor mental health and financial difficulties using your knowledge and expertise to identify and address a range of issues and provide debt financial capability welfare advice and support services to people with mental health issues.

What we ask for from you:

  • Educated to at least GCSE level and have obtained at least English and Mathematics Grades AC or equivalent.
  • Must have completed Adviser Training Programme (ATP) or OCN Level 4 Advice & Guidance accreditation
  • Must be willing to undertake prescribed training in Debt Mental Health & Welfare Benefits. This will require a minimum of 1 training course per month.
  • At least one years experience in providing advice to the public
  • At least 1 years experience of working with electronic Case Recording databases.
  • At least 2 years recent experience providing administrative support in an advicegiving sector.
  • Welldeveloped IT skills comfortable using Microsoft Office packages and bespoke databases.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWises core values of Passion Respect Empathy Togetherness Openness & Transparency.
