Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and communitybased services.
The Department
The Alfreds Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is one of Australias leading Intensive Care Units admitting approximately 3000 patients per annum. It is a university affiliated quaternary referral centre providing State Services for major trauma heart and lung transplantation (including paediatric lung transplantation) artificial heart technology extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) burns and hyperbaric medicine. It also provides Victoria Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hypertension services.
Data and Analytical Services
Data and Analytical Services (DAS) is part of finance and provides specialised data management analysis and reporting services to Alfred Health and also provides application support for key corporate applications.
The Role
This position will involve working within the Intensive Care Unit to support the operational quality improvement auditing and research activities of the program. You will work closely with key clinicians researchers and the ICU multidisciplinary leadership team to address and respond to their data collection and analysis needs. You will be responsible for data collection and management database development data presentation and limited statistical analysis as part of quality assurance operational and research activities within the unit. This position will also involve close collaboration with Alfred Health Data and Analytical Services. Team members from DAS will provide technical support mentoring and manage integration and coordination with the broader organisation. To facilitate this you will be based at DAS 12 days per week and will be required to meet all local data governance and training requirements.
