Job Description
Armstrong has an opening for a Driver on first shift. Armstrong Rapid Manufacturing has been in business for over 50 years in the East Syracuse NY area. Armstrong specializes in both prototyped and low volume production machined castings. The Salary Range for our Driver job is $18.00$22.00 per hour. Refer to the job description below:
Summary/Objective: Deliver interoffice mail and customer orders and load and unload vehicles.
Job Responsibilities
- Operates company vehicles in conformance with company regulations and traffic laws to and from company buildings vendors and customers to deliver and pick up parts supplies etc.
- Maintains a positive professional approach with all internal and external contacts.
- Loads and unloads vehicles using fork trucks and handcarts as required.
- Distributes interoffice mail.
- May pack product as specified including certifications and xray film in appropriate containers.
- Labels containers with customer part number and quantity information
- Performs routine maintenance and service on vehicles as noted on service log.
- Meets quality and quantity standards for the position.
- Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.
- Adheres to all safety policies and practices consistently uses personal protective equipment and practices good housekeeping.
- Maintains regular ontime attendance and adheres to company policies procedures and standards of conduct.
- Maintains a positive professional approach with all internal and external controls.
- Maintains drivers license in nonpoor status for the purposes of conducting deliveries via company owned or leased vehicles.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
Educational Experience Based and Skill Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and valid NYS Drivers license and one year (1) of delivery driving a van or truck. Able to pass a NYS Motor Vehicle Check.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to and including 35pds as needed.
