Job Description

Product Engineering Technician

The Product Engineering Technician aids in the review of product applications and completes product application reviews on customer requests for special products. Provide product application engineering and technical support to Customer Service Purchasing and Sales teams distributors installers and customers/end users. This position will be locatedonsite at our Mequon WI facility.

What will you be doing

  • Review product applications for viability and safety. Recommend solutions and assist in the implementation of those solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and solve product issues. Recommend solutions and follow up on their implementation.
  • Investigate field issues with parts and products. Travel to jobsites and prepare detailed field reports.
  • Diagnose maintain repair and install companys products.
  • Train distributors and end users.
  • Assist in administration of Warranty and Service policies.
  • Identify tools (electronic and others) that will assist APS distributors in providing excellent service to endusers.
  • Review and create product documentation.
  • Assist Customer Service and Purchasing teams to locate the product documentation and sources forproducts.

What are we looking for:

  • Associate or bachelors degree in electrical/mechanical engineering Engineering Technology or a related field is a plus.
  • 35 years of experience in a field service or technical support.
  • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word Excel Project and PowerPointpreferred.
