Job Description

The Senior Quality and Compliance Consultant will be responsible for mentoring and overseeing the work of the Quality and Compliance Consultants ensuring the successful execution of quality and compliance activities while also serving as a subject matter expert and a key point of contact for regulatory matters relating to healthcare quality privacy and compliance. This position requires strong leadership skills a deep understanding of healthcare compliance and quality management frameworks and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive compliance and quality improvements. Key responsibilities involve managing audits survey corrective action plans and certifications guiding the team in addressing compliance challenges and driving crossfunctional projects that improve patient care quality outcomes and overall operational performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed.   • Mentor and oversee the work of Quality and Compliance Consultants ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and successful execution of quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on healthcare quality privacy and compliance advising leadership and staff on regulatory requirements and best practices while ensuring adherence to all applicable local state and federal regulations including HIPAA and CMS.
  • Proactively identify compliance risks and develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and collaborate with clinical teams department leadership and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement develop corrective action plans and drive continuous quality enhancement initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead and manage DMHA audits assist with regulatory surveys and certification processes (e.g. Joint Commission CMS surveys HRSA site visit) and develop and implement corrective action plans following audit findings and survey results to address compliance gaps.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality privacy and compliance matters relating to Transitional Living and Inpatient homes ensuring that these facilities meet regulatory standards and maintain highquality care practices.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments including clinical operations and administrative (Executive Director Practice Administrators etc.) teams to ensure seamless implementation of quality improvement and compliance initiatives across the organization.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of key quality and compliance data including patient outcomes and regulatory performance. Use this data to inform decisionmaking and drive quality improvements.
  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends regulatory changes and emerging best practices in quality management and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to build strong relationships with outpatient office leaders fostering trust and commitment to organizational goals for quality privacy and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business nursing public health or other health related discipline required. Masters degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare quality setting.
  • Certificate or Professional License: Prefer certification in an Healthcare Quality related discipline i.e. CPHQ RHIA RHIT RN LPN CCP etc.
  • Valid drivers license and active auto insurance coverage.
  • Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
