We are seeking a passionate organized and handson Caf Manager to oversee daily operations at our cozy communityfocused caf in MidMichigan. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with regulars leading a small team and maintaining high standards in both customer service and food & beverage quality.
Daily Operations: Manage opening/closing procedures ensure cleanliness and maintain a welcoming environment.
Staff Management: Hire train and schedule baristas and caf staff. Provide ongoing coaching performance feedback and support team morale.
Customer Service: Lead by example in delivering excellent customer experiences. Handle customer inquiries feedback and complaints in a professional manner.
Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels place orders with vendors and manage inventory to reduce waste and control costs.
Sales & Financials: Monitor daily sales cash handling and POS systems. Assist with budgeting and meeting revenue targets.
Compliance: Ensure all operations meet local health safety and labor regulations.
Marketing & Community Engagement: Collaborate with ownership to plan promotions events and community outreach initiatives that grow the cafs local presence.
2 years of experience in food service or retail management (caf experience preferred)
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
Passion for coffee food and creating a welcoming community space
