Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and efficient Technician Facility Services Irrigation Exterior Services to join our team in Athens GA. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing irrigation systems for our facilities ensuring proper landscaping and water conservation practices are implemented.
- Install maintain and repair irrigation systems for exterior landscapes
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation equipment and perform preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with irrigation systems including sprinklers valves and controllers
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and comply with local regulations
- Collaborate with the landscaping team to ensure proper watering schedules for different plant types
- Monitor water consumption and implement water conservation strategies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and system modifications
- Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in irrigation technology and water management
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in facility services or irrigation systems maintenance
- Indepth knowledge of irrigation systems including sprinklers valves and controllers
- Proficiency in using and programming irrigation control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical diagrams and landscaping plans
- Familiarity with water conservation practices and local water regulations
- Experience with hand and power tools used in irrigation system maintenance
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications in irrigation systems or landscaping (preferred)
