Summary: Assist the Warehouse Manager with supervising and coordinating all aspects of warehouse operations. Effectively and efficiently handle customer service complaints and concerns. Train new team members in job duties. Comfortable working in a diverse fastpaced environment. Follow company guidelines and operational policies.
Salary range $70K$80K.
Shift: 4 am or 6 am starting 10 hr days SundayThursdays
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(80%) Assist the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of warehouse operations
Leadership:
- Recruit and interview new team members
- Keep Warehouse Manager informed of potential problems
- Attend and participate in annual Leadership & Development training sessions
- Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules
- Coordinate team member tasks and responsibilities to receive store and load food product and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures and within budgeted guidelines while controlling cost
- Ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA company standards local state and federal requirements
- Utilize and train team member on handheld scanner to perform all functions: pick sort pack receive stock etc.
- Maintain positive customer relationships
- Reporting:
- Assist in compiling daily key indicators
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
- Warehouse Inventory Planning:
- Maintain inventory control through effective warehouse methods
- Assist Manager with quarterly counting and/or annual physical inventories using solo chain system reports inventory software in order to ensure inventory accuracy
- Warehouse Operations:
- Review load sheet and verify accuracy of assembled load
- Assist driver where needed with predeparture load check
- Make recommendations to Manager on operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current
- Assist Manager with being audit and 5s ready at all time
- Performs regular Gemba walks
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director)
- As needed fills in for Warehouse team members and performs tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED some college with equivalent work experience 2year degree preferred
- 23 years of warehouse manufacturing or production experience
- 23 years of supervisory experience
- Must have and maintain forklift certification
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
- Basic understanding of 5S and Kaizen
- Must successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date
- Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 1012 hours
- Walking in/ around the warehouse with great frequency; many facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
- Able to access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders stairs and gangways safely and without limitation)
- Regular bending lifting stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures 3338 degrees and in environments with exposure to loud machinery
