An enthusiastic and wellqualified Science Teacher with a specialism and passion for Chemistry is required to join an Outstanding mixed school in Barnet for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 1116) with the fundamental principles of chemistry and their relevance to the world around them.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations with a strong emphasis on chemical concepts.
- Foster a stimulating and inquirybased learning environment for scientific exploration and experimentation in chemistry.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Science (Chemistry) providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of chemical principles and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex chemical ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
