Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager or Director to lead their maintenance operations. This role will execute the strategic reliability vision set by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Maintenance Manager/Director will oversee a disciplined team responsible for uptime safety mechanical reliability and asset longevity. This is a floorforward datadriven leadership position that requires managing CMMS discipline contractor performance KPI achievement and continuous mechanical improvement.
Lead a maintenance team with safety as the top priority followed by quality and production effectiveness.
Manage the fullscope of maintenance operations strategy team development and system performance.
Establish and continuously improve Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs.
Own and manage all Maintenance KPIs related to uptime cost safety and performance.
Improve MTBF eliminate chronic failures and enhance easeofmaintenance across all critical equipment.
Coordinate internal and contractor resources aligned with production schedules and project timelines.
Oversee all onsite contractors ensuring safety compliance scope of work schedule adherence and CMMS reporting.
Conduct annual contractor reviews in partnership with Purchasing and establish corrective action plans when necessary.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on CapEx and vendor oversight.
Support team development and hold team members accountable through performance reviews development plans and coaching.
15 years in industrial maintenance leadership with experience in wood products lumber or heavy industry preferred.
Proven success managing highwear systems: dryers pellet mills MCCs conveyors hammermills etc.
Strong CMMS background (Limble Fiix SAP PM EMaint) and maintenance planning expertise.
Leadership experience with 25 tradespeople planners and external contractors.
Demonstrated track record of KPI ownership RCA enforcement and performancebased culture building.
Minimum: Twoyear degree or equivalent coursework 8 years of industrial maintenance leadership.
Preferred: Fouryear degree in Operations Business or Engineering.
Trade certification (millwright industrial maintenance) highly valued.
Reliability certification (CMRP CRL) strongly preferred.
OSHA 30hour and full safety systems fluency required.
