Job Title: DevOps (Junior)

Location: Onsite Hybrid with a maximum of 2 days per month onsite for meetings at Wexford and Dublin

Contract / Permanent: FTC 12 Months With further extension

Start date: June 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Role:

Experience of development extension and maintenance of software frameworks for tooling development

Experience of Python development

Experience of Azure IaC development ideally using Bicep

Experience of network design and configuration including Microsoft landing zone hubspoke network architecture isolated networking in Azure DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver) routing firewalls network security groups Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall

Experience of monitoring logging and alerting in Azure

Must be capable of working autonomously to produce wellengineered solutions and documentation.

Experience Level Required:

It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:

The equivalent of an NFQ Level 6 in Computer Science Business Information Systems Engineering Information Technology.

Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ104 or higher certification.

Key Deliverable:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python programming and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within hybrid Azure environments.

The engineer will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability security and reliability.

The following nonexhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.

Design develop and maintain InfrastructureasCode (IaC) scripts using Bicep to automate Azure resource provisioning.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.

Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure performance and costs.

Network design and configuration in a hybrid environment including Microsoft landing zone hubspoke network architecture isolated networking in Azure DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver) routing firewalls network security groups Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructurerelated issues.

Document processes configurations and procedures.

Requirements

Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets:

The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.

1. A minimum of 3 years experience in developing extending and maintaining software frameworks for tooling development. This includes designing and building frameworks adding new functionalities and ensuring their continued functionality.

2. A minimum of 3 years experience of Python development and experience of Azure IaC development ideally using Bicep.

3. A minimum of 3 years experience of Azure network design and configuration in a hybrid (onpremises and cloud) environment including Microsoft landing zone hubspoke network architecture isolated networking in Azure DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver) routing firewalls network security groups Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.

4. A minimum of 3 years experience in the configuration and management of Azure environments including configuring and maintaining monitoring logging and alerting.

5. Capable of working autonomously to produce well engineered solutions and documentation.
