High School Mathematics Teacher / Inclusion Specialist 202526 (fulltime)Community Charter School of Cambridge (CCSC) is a charter public school that serves students in grades 612. Focusing on postsecondary success for all students CCSC combines high academic and behavioral expectations with an environment of unconditional affection acceptance and belonging in which all students can grow and achieve. In addition the faculty member will fulfill all regular duties and commitments required of CCSC staff. A CCSC mathematics teacher can expect to:Prepare students for success in college and the requisite standardized exams such as MCAS and AP Calculus. Work with a diverse student body from Cambridge Boston and surrounding citiesPromote a schoolwide culture of respect using the principles of restorative justice Align curriculum with the MA Curriculum Frameworks for Mathematics and implement the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Mathematical Practice to aid students in developing deep understanding of contentDesign and implement lessons that balance procedural fluency with conceptual understanding and application and that develop reasoning and critical thinking skills in mathematicsServe as an Advisor to a small group of studentsEngage with families regularly to support students learning and wellbeing Participate in myriad forms of professional development as scheduled for all facultyA CCSC inclusion specialist can expect to:Provide support in both the inclusion setting and in small group pullout settingsRegularly gather data toward IEP goals and input data into gradelevel trackerWork closely with content teachers and the special education teacher to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Implement various accommodations and modifications Provide input on student performance to help inform IEP Team meetingsQualifications: BA or BS required; appropriate graduate coursework preferred Teaching experience in a similar setting preferred Ability to teach more than one subject preferred: Algebra I Geometry Algebra II PreCalculus AP Calculus If not certified in MA charter school teachers must pass the relevant MA teacher tests (MTEL) by the end of their first year at CCSC If not Sheltered English Immersion endorsed charter school teachers must earn the endorsement by the end of their first year at CCSC with English Language Learners in any of their coursesHow to ApplySend a resume and a brief cover letter or paragraph that addresses why you are interested in working at CCSC to Sophie Long at with the subject line High School Mathematics Teacher / Inclusion Specialist.
