Job Description
The Department of Pathology is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician I to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy: labeling specimens telephone inquiries and distribution of phlebotomy supplies. This position is 50 time Saturday and Sundaywith rotating holidays.
Duties to include:
Perform phlebotomy draws.
Perform computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required.
Order receive and distribute supplies.
Respond to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represent assigned and related work areas.

High school graduation or equivalent.
Special Qualifications (if appropriate):
Previous public contact/customer service experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience is desirable.
- Minimum 6 months previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Basic computer skills are desirable.
- Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment is desirable.
- Previous patient contact experience is desirable.
