Job Description
The FSE I/II performs Calibrations/Qualifications Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on pipettes and various types of small laboratory instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration/qualification and preventative maintenance in the lab on single channel and multichannel pipettes.
- Travel to customer sites to perform pipette calibrations and PMs as necessary.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of various types of small laboratory equipment both in the field and in the lab.
- Manage personal parts inventory effectively.
- Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery particularly issues impacting turnaround times.
- Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
- Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.
- Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.
- Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.
- Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.
- Maintain client confidentiality specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant assessors).
- Act impartially within the management system.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Two or fouryear degree in a related science field (e.g. chemistry analytical chemistry electronic engineering biotechnology or similar) plus 01 years (FSE I) or 1 to 3 years (FSE II) experience in a related field preferably as a Field Service Technician
- Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environments
- Clear respectful and timely verbal and written communication
- Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solving
- Must be selfmotivated and proactive
- Valid drivers license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to travel within customer territory up to 5 days per week MondayFriday. Overnight travel as needed.
Additional Information :
Position is a part time MondayFriday 8am5pm with additional hours as needed. Candidates within commutable distance to San Jose CA are encouraged to apply.
Compensation: Up to $60000/year
