Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester.
Purpose: Assist with all processes related to Service Learning & Engagement including the coordination of Service Learning and shortterm volunteer experiences.
Primary contacts: CEEC staff students faculty staff employers community partners visitors and other members of the University community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Welcome Week Service Day and support other University days of service
- Assist with planning and implementation of CEEC initiatives including career fairs and other event(s).
- Assist with campus initiatives related to voter registration engagement and other democracy related programs.
- Present in courses and groups to promote service learning & engagement.
- Assist during service learning orientations and guided reflections.
- Collect volunteer opportunities and create monthly volunteer calendars for classes that require 1x volunteer experiences.
- Maintain the service learning & engagement bulletin board in the Classroom Building.
- Maintain the service learning community partner database (in Handshake) and all agency agreement forms from community partners.
- Collaborate with CEEC Marketing & CommunicationCoop and staff to create and distribute promotional materials for service learning & civic engagement opportunities.
- Assist in tracking service learning requirements for students and aiding students with the service learning process.
- Greet and assist students faculty/staff employers and visitors in the CEEC.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
- Must have taken CED 220 Foundations of Professionalism and be enrolled/participate in the Cooperative Education program.
- At least sophomore level preferred in good standing
- Demonstrated communication (written and verbal) and computer skills including Microsoft Office products and social media
- Experience in event planning is preferred
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Well organized punctual and reliable
- The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully both orally and in writing with individuals at all levels within the University.
