The Department of Economic Security Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Jobs Coordinator with the Workforce Development Administration (WDA). This position is under the direction of the Manager with limited supervision this position provides direct oversight for the TANF Jobs Program and serves as the subject matter expert. This position will oversee and monitor the TANF Jobs contractor(s) for data validation contract compliance collaboration within the workforce system and other related activities.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Facilitate coordination between the contractor and DERS Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility (DBME) and local area partners. Track and analyze complex system requirements for the TANF Jobs program.
Track and analyze complex statistical and financial data in preparing a variety of reports. Develop and maintain annual reports and data analysis of the program. Assist in the development of requests for proposals and state plans.
Interpret and apply federal state and local laws regulations and codes in all aspects of work activities. Assist in the development of program policy and coordinate with other agency personnel to plan and carry out joint actions or activities to achieve program objectives.
Attend meetings and participate in activities task forces ad hoc and work advisory groups closely related to the work system its goals and objectives. Create and make presentations to various community organizations and other groups regarding the program.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement including data gathering interpretation and problemsolving techniques.
Knowledge of principles of policy formation analysis and evaluation service delivery practices and needs of clientele.
Skills in monitoring or compliance reviews and development of result/response communication.
Skills in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships including effectively responding to routine inquiries and disputes.
Ability to learn & apply applicable Federal and State laws rules regulations policies and procedures governing federally funded programs.
Ability to work independently multitask and contribute to a positive team environment.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience coordinating monitoring or administering a grant or program; OR 7 years experience.
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
Travel will be required for State business. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C. R210207.11.
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EVerify).
