Transportation Coordinator 2 Dispatch
Pay Range $18.00/hour

Location Hancock
This position is our primary contact for all Driver calls coming into the Transportation Department. This position coordinates the most efficient means of transportation for clients. Schedules and/or dispatches trips to volunteers and agency drivers. Inputs data in the computer.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Will work with the public and can communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Must have experience with computer programs including Microsoft word
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Become knowledgeable on all funding sources in transportation and the requirements of each one
- Must be able to communicate effectively internally and externally
- Must be effective with Multitasking and organizing
- Must be an effective member of the team
- Must Be knowledgeable of both Hancock & Washington County
- Serves as a resource for Agency & Volunteer drivers
- Ability to read maps
- Must have office experience
- Ability to comprehend rules and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication
- Proven attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:
- 35 years experience as a Dispatcher or a related function.
Education/Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent in skills and experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- FTA Drug and Alcohol Program Participant. Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol checks.
