The Department of Administration Division of Retirement and Benefitsis recruiting for a Retirement and Benefits Technician 2inJuneau!



What You Will Be Doing:
  • Coordinating the reporting of all pension system contributions from participating employers

  • Processing retirement contribution payrolls for the Public Employees Retirement System Teachers Retirement System Supplemental Benefits System and the Deferred Compensation Plan

  • Applying different reporting requirements rules and regulations for each individual plan ensuring both IRS tax code and the Divisions statutes regulations and policies are met.

  • Providing technical support for several different proprietary systems used by employers for reporting contributions and indicative data

  • Troubleshooting employer payroll reporting issues

  • Certifying all pretax direct transfer or direct indebtedness payments

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
Our office setting is a large quiet space sectioned by cubicles for individual office areas. This position is located at 400 Willoughby across the street from the State Office Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. After oneyear in office probationary period is complete this position could be eligible for telework if circumstances warrant.
