Job Description
The Henry Warren Schoolis seeking a dedicated creative and compassionate 2nd Grade Teacher to join our elementary school team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic social and emotional growth. This teacher will deliver highquality instruction aligned with district and state standards while differentiating for diverse learning needs and styles.
Statement of Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in core subject areas including reading writing math science social studies and social emotional learning.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity respect and a love of learning.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom management system.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress classroom activities and school events.
- Collaborate with gradelevel colleagues support staff and administration to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Appropriate DESE licensure
