DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Specialized Investigator you will perform complex technology investigations into gaming operations gaming systems or platforms and gaming personnel. Work involves the application of policies and PGCB regulations while investigating intricate information technology (IT) operations systems and platforms and performing financial and analytical work to ensure compliance with laws regulations and internal control procedures within gaming industries operating in Pennsylvania.


Within this role you will utilize specialized IT and accounting mechanisms to detect misconduct and abuse in the programs networks operations and contracting activities by any applicant or licensee under the jurisdiction of the PGCB. This professional prepares comprehensive reports to identify the nature of the investigation investigative findings and provide recommendations for corrective action to be taken in order to resolve any deficiencies. Excellent communication skills are essential as you may be required to testify before the board or other legal venues regarding the work performed and the conclusions presented.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Fulltime employment 37.5 hours/week.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
  • Travel is required.
  • Telework:Telework options may be available within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania only.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of progressively responsible accounting tax and/or information technology work with exposure to a wide variety of entities and situations involving technical investigations or audits and a bachelors degree (or higher) in Accounting Information Technology Computer Science or PreLaw from an accredited college or university; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience performing investigations into Casino gaming operations systems or platforms.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • A masters degree in Economics Finance Accounting or Computer Science.


Legal Requirements:

  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
