Job Description

Step into a highimpact Solutions Architect role at NCS Australia focusing on driving growth within our expanding Microsoft practice through expert presales engagement centred on Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). You will be the primary technical and functional authority during the sales cycle partnering closely with our Account Management and Business Development teams to win new ERP implementation and enhancement projects primarily with small to mediumsized and midmarket clients across Australia. Your mission is to deeply understand prospective clients operational and financial challenges architect compelling Business Central solutions and build unwavering technical and functional confidence ultimately shaping successful deals and expanding NCSs footprint in the Microsoft ERP ecosystem.

Your core activities will revolve around engaging prospects leading functional discovery sessions to uncover core finance supply chain and operational requirements and then crafting and delivering persuasive tailored solution demonstrations that bring the potential of Business Central to life for their specific industry or needs. You will architect innovative solutions for proposals RFI/RFP/RFQ responses focusing on BC core capabilities relevant AppSource extensions and appropriate integrations (including Power Platform where it adds distinct value). Translating complex ERP functionalities into clear business value propositionssuch as streamlining operations improving financial visibility or optimising inventorywill be critical as will be effectively addressing technical and functional questions from prospective clients finance and operations teams.

You will collaborate extensively with Sales Account Managers and Business Central delivery consultants to ensure the proposed solutions are both functionally rich and technically feasible within the BC framework considering its architecture and extension model. While your primary focus is winning new business your deep understanding of BC architecture the AL extension model integration APIs and implementation best practices ensures the solutions you champion set the stage for successful project delivery postsale. Staying ahead of the curve on the latest Business Central release waves relevant AppSource innovations and related Microsoft cloud technologies will be vital to maintaining your competitive edge and crafting solutions that truly meet the evolving needs of Australian businesses.


Qualifications :

  • Demonstrable experience in a presales capacity focused on ERP solutions (ideally Business Central or NAV/Navision) potentially gained as a Solutions Architect Principal Consultant or dedicated PreSales Specialist.
  • Deep functional and technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central including core modules (Finance Supply Chain Management essential; Manufacturing Warehousing Projects Service Management highly desirable).Proven ability to lead functional discovery sessions effectively understanding core financial and operational business processes (e.g. OrdertoCash ProcuretoPay Inventory Management RecordtoReport Manufacturing workflows).
  • Proven experience architecting endtoend ERP solutions within Business Central effectively incorporating AppSource extensions and designing necessary integrations where required.
  • Solid understanding of Business Central architecture the Extension V2 model (familiarity with AL language concepts) web services/APIs for integration configuration packages and data migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with related Microsoft technologies including Power Platform (Power BI Power Apps Power Automate) and how they can integrate with and enhance Business Central solutions.
  • Exceptional presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to create and deliver engaging tailored Business Central demonstrations that clearly showcase functional benefits and address prospect pain points.
  • Experience architecting solutions for and contributing significantly to highquality proposals and responses to RFIs RFPs and RFQs specific to ERP projects.
  • Strong ability to articulate ERP solution value in clear business terms (e.g. operational efficiency financial control improved reporting inventory optimisation) and effectively handle functional and technical objections.
  • Solid commercial awareness applied during ERP solution scoping estimation and proposal stages.
