Job Description
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid/Onsite Schedule: 3 days onsite
Contract Length: 1 month likely extension
Position Overview:
The Software Tester position is responsible for developing and executing user acceptance test scripts for systems such as web/internet POS harvest reporting IVR and conducting full regression testing. This role operates within an Agile testing environment to ensure system requirements and specifications are met.
Duties:
Develop update maintain and execute test plans standards procedures test scripts and use case scenarios for user acceptance.
Assist in planning creating and controlling test environments.
Anticipate identify and resolve testing process issues.
Record verify log and document testing results.
Track issues risks and action items using Microsoft tracking tools.
Define and apply success entry and exit criteria for testing.
Work toward departmental and project deadlines.
Draft and present testing results and recommendations including issues risks impacts and contingency plans to team leads or managers.
Participate in meetings with leads managers or vendors to communicate status resolve issues or implement action plans.
Maintain a requirements traceability matrix and assist in analyzing requirements data mapping and verifying data transfers and testing results against functional specifications.
Required Skills:
At least 1 year of experience in application development testing.
At least 1 year of experience creating test scripts and use case scenarios for user acceptance.
At least 1 year of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
College degree or equivalent technical study.
Preferred Skills:
At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft ADO or a similar tool.
At least 1 year of experience testing in an Agile environment.
At least 1 year of experience performing business analysis as a primary or collateral duty.
At least 1 year of experience validating data mapping requirements.
At least 1 year of familiarity with data migration strategies.
