What You Will Be Doing:
The Research Analyst 1 is a fulltime longterm nonpermanent position located in Anchorage within the Research and Analysis Unit the Division of Senior and Disabilities Services Department of Health. This is the first level of professional responsibility and requires a full understanding of the basic tools of research.

In this position you will be responsible for the data validity and reliability as it relates to tasks associated with the management and analysis of user access and user activities within the divisions database system. These tasks range from troubleshooting technical and business processrelated issues and verifying that appropriate database system requirements have been met and continue to be met by the database users to research analysis and aggregation of database functionality as it relates to security and data integrity.

Mission and Values/Culture:
The Research and Analysis Unit provides information research and analysis products to State and national stakeholders including representatives of the Division of Senior and Disabilities Services(SDS) and the Department of Health. The unit specializes in business process development and diagramming data maintenance statistical analysis report writing and publishing account management for Harmony database users and training associated with the use of SDS data systems and processes. As an Information Technology (IT) liaison the unit advises the division on technical developments and collaborates with the Department of Health and Enterprise Technology Services on a variety of projects.

Currently the Division staff have the option to participate in a hybrid telework arrangement following successful completion of the probationary period with at least one day a week worked in the office.
