Job Description
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is growing and looking to hire a Cardiovascular Surgeon with the interest and ability to perform cardiovascular surgery to join our clinical faculty and regional Level 1 Trauma Center.
About this Cardiovascular Surgeon Job Opening:
FullTime Employment 1.0 FTE)
Academic Inpatient/Outpatient
Expected Open Heart Cases: 600 per year
Join a team of 2 Cardiovascular Surgeons 46 Nurse Practitioners and support staff
1st Assist for vein harvesting available
Level 1 Trauma Center serving the East Texas region
OnSite Heart Valve Center (MitraClip TAVRvalve replacement) with 9 cardiologists
Referrals coming from cath lab and valve center
EMR: Epic
Minimum Requirements:
ABS board certification or eligibility as Cardiovascular Surgeon
Surgical Fellowship Training in Cardiovascular Surgery
Experienced and graduating Cardiovascular Surgery Physicians are encouraged to apply!
Recruitment Package may include:
Base Salary wRVU production incentive
CME allowance
Commencement bonus
