Job Summary:
We are seekingexperienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitionerswho have urgent care or emergency room experience treating both adult and pediatric patients to join our welcoming and diverse communities of Portland and Vancouver providers.
Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats colds flulike symptoms cuts sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Treat both pediatric and adult patient populations(all ages 6 months old and up)
Perform minor procedures (sutures casts splints etc. and provide preliminary reads of EKGs and Xrays.
Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments/medications.
Collaborative work environment with the opportunity to work with a dedicated Scribe at our busier centers.
Work in stateoftheart centers are equipped with advanced technology including an integrated EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with onsite Rad Techs Medical Assistants and Paramedics for support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting as a NP or PA is required
Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) required.
Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures casts splints etc. and preliminary reads on EKGs and Xrays required.
Physician Assistants:Masters degree and NCCPA Certification is required
Nurse Practitioners:Masters degree and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP)
