Position Summary

This position will be part of a busy and dynamic working environment in the Moody Center. Responsible for ticket sales with a specialization in Ticketmaster Host & TM1 Sales and providing excellent customer service for our world class events. Providing Will Call service as needed. This role is supported by and works closely with the entire ticketing team.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00.

About the Venue

Moody Center is Austins new arena that gave the Live Music Capital of the World the worldclass arena it deserves. Moody Center is a premiere 15000 seat venue that hosts the biggest artists and acts on the planet. Designed specifically for concerts the new arena is home to The University of Texas Womens and Mens basketball games family shows and other sporting and community events. Moody Center is the first of its kind in the industry with an unrivaled partnership between Oak View Group Live Nation/C3 Presents The University of Texas at Austin and Minister of Culture Matthew McConaughey. Moody Center has been recently named the Arena of the Year by Pollstar and by the Academy of Country Music.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately processes payments for tickets while following all proper Ticket Office selling and payment procedures
  • Answer phone with prompt and courteous attitude as needed
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills responding professionally promptly and efficiently to customer service requests and needs
  • Facilitate night of show Will Call
  • Sells tickets in Ticketmaster Host and TM1 computer programs
  • Process opening and closing paperwork
  • Answers questions concerning events tickets schedules and gives information concerning coming attractions
  • Remain current with new software/product releases
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by ticketing management team
  • Frequent bending lifting 1520 pounds sitting exposure to multiple external elements extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous ticketing point of sale customer service experience
  • Must have basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Windowsbased PC programs
  • Ability to work well both within a team environment and independently with good decisionmaking capability
  • Must be customerservice oriented have a fanfriendly attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented resourceful quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A high degree of personal integrity
  • Experience with largescale events in an arena stadium or concert setting of a similar size 15000 seats) is highly desirable
  • Previous knowledge of Ticketmaster Host and TM1 ticketing systems is preferred
