Short Description
JOB DESCRIPTION ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP)LEAD Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant General Surgery
Responsible for general oversight of assigned APP staff. This includes ensuring required educational and professional development needs are met communication scheduling of staff and providers are practicing within their scope and compliant with regulatory bodies. This individual will take a leadership role and leverage their APP to drive institute quality metrics maximize productivity and contain costs. The lead APP will participate in assessing institute APP needs hiring and evaluating staff.
Provide high quality efficient medical care to patientswithin scope of Surgery Departmentas an Advanced Practice Provider Lead in collaboration with Physicians and medical staff.
Experience Required
Minimum of 18 months working as LicensedAdvanced Practice Provider.
Education Requirements
Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree is required.
License/Certification Requirements
National certification in APP specialty. NJ APN license or PA license with eligibility for DEA and CDS certificates.
