Our client a major firm in central Surrey is seeking an Estate Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA). This is an excellent opportunity to thrive in a supportive and dynamic legal environment.
Preparing initial drafts of correspondence and pleadings.
Managing intake of documents and filerelated materials updating binders.
Maintaining the lawyers email dailyprinting and saving correspondence.
Scheduling appointments hearings discoveries mediations and trial dates.
Preparing legal documents including Trial Briefs Case Plan Proposals Lists of Documents Application Records Petition Records Orders and Trial Records.
Assembling Exhibits for Affidavits and Exhibit Binders for trials.
Maintaining a BF and limitation system.
Preparing accounts.
Communicating frequently with opposing counsel and clients.
Conducting LTO (including document retrieval) CSO corporate and assessment searches.
Performing administrative tasks such as opening organizing and closing files as needed.
Education: Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited postsecondary institution.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Litigation (Estate Litigation experience is an asset).
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
Solid understanding of Supreme Court Rules.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to exercise good judgment professionalism and confidentiality.
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Teamoriented with the ability to work independently.
Competitive compensation in the range of 65000 to 85000 depending on experience.
