The Medina County Career Center (MCCC) is looking for a skilled Career TrainingInstructor ready to share their expertise and knowledge with the next teachers are responsible for the daytoday work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the students during onsite and offsite activities. They are responsible for planning organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Teachers agree with and are committed to the academic goals and philosophy of the MCCC. They understand abide by and implement the policies directives and guidelines set forth by the MCCC.
STARTING DATE: August 2025
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Teachers Salary Schedule commensurate with experience and education
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

WORKWEEK/YEAR: 184 days as per the Board adopted calendar
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid Ohio teaching license or qualify for licensure Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate 196140 and endorsement in Transition to Work 600010. Solid foundational knowledge of special education law and requirements. Experience in administering and interpreting transition and career/aptitude assessments. High school experience. Good time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines at once. Provide students with disabilities with direct or supplementary services and support in the technical career setting. Provide instructional coaching and consultation to help career technical instructors with service delivery and accommodations emphasizing inclusive practices. Proficient in writing and implementing IEPs documenting student progress data and adhering to required timelines and paperwork compliance. Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality. Ability to multitask/handle multiple complex situations at once and to demonstrate flexibility. Independent selfstarter. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve resolve disagreements and maintain a positive student learning environment. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of career technical education. Strong technology skills. At least three years of experience working with students with special needs. Ability to chair meetings.
