We are seeking a talented and passionate Commi I specializing in South Indian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru India. As a Commi I you will play a crucial role in preparing authentic South Indian dishes ensuring the highest quality and taste for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various South Indian dishes including dosas idlis vadas and curries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
- Ensure proper food handling storage and safety practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in menu planning and development of new South Indian dishes
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in South Indian cooking techniques and methods
- Indepth knowledge of South Indian ingredients spices and flavor profiles
- Excellent knife skills and food presentation abilities
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- 12 years of experience in South Indian cuisine preparation
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Valid food safety certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong team player with good communication abilities
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
