Job Description
Epworth Eastern has an amazing opportunity to join our wonderful team on a permanent fulltime or parttime basis as a Grade 4 Theatre Technician reporting to the Grade 5 Theatre Technician.
Our dynamic team is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety first. You will be responsible for delivering highquality service patient care handling equipment and transportation services while contributing to the overall performance of the operating suite.
You will make an impact by:
- Assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation
- Preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the theatre runs efficiently and effectively.
- Mentor novice theatre technicians to help support and grow their career.
To be successful in this role:
We are looking for someone who is a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. You should be professional in your work have a strong attention to detail and be quick to learn and adapt.
- Completed a Certificate IV Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support)
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- Excellent customerfocused skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 24 months clinical experience as a Theatre Technician
- Willingness and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Professional work ethic who is selfmotivated and selfdirected

About Epworth Eastern
Located in Box Hill Epworth Eastern is a stateoftheart facility with 15 theatres and (including a hybrid theatre) expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac vascular orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive meaningful and sustainable impact on the health and well being of our community delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbournes east.

The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians AUD $69799 $70910 super entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for parttime).
