Your golden opportunity for an exhilarating career is knocking are you ready to answer the call The journey begins here with Global a 1st Flagship Company we are currently looking for a Ship Maintenance Supervisor.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Planning daily and weekly schedules setting priorities based on general work orders available resources and instructions from higher levels of supervision.
- Assigning tasks to subordinates providing guidance on work requirements and instructing them on methods and procedures when needed.
- Requisitioning necessary tools materials and equipment and coordinating with other trades when required.
- Training subordinates on proper work methods safe practices and the use of new equipment.
- Ensuring work is completed on time inspecting for quality and enforcing safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
- Assisting employees in complicated or difficult operations as needed.
- Keeping the Manager informed on work progress production and any issues encountered.
- Maintaining accurate records of individual time job orders accidents and work progress and preparing related reports.
- Performing personnel functions including performance reviews recommendations for disciplinary actions promotions and transfers.
- Enforcing company policies ensuring discipline and maintaining safety standards.
- Ensuring shipboard hull and surface remediation monitoring sanitary facilities and maintaining equipment and vessels.
- Handling mooring of craft and vessels.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
Minimum:
- 5 Fiveyears of relevant shipboard or ship maintenance experience or relevant experience in the military.
- Must have a valid state drivers license and be qualified to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Vehicle Safety Manual.
- Must have experience planning and scheduling
- Ability to obtain a Confidential Secret Clearance and US citizenship
Preferred:
- 2 years of leading or supervising teams
- Small Craft Operations (boat license)
