We are seeking a Permanency Unit Supervisor (Child Welfare Supervisor 2 to join our Pendleton Child Welfare team.
Summary of Duties
As a Permanency Unit Supervisor you will:
Engage and supervise staff by planning executing monitoring and evaluating activities related to ODHS and Child Welfare.
Ensure staff adhere to good social work practices state and federal laws and department policies. Continuously review programs and standards affecting quality safety and permanency of childrens lives.
Provide general training orientation mentoring and consultations to staff.
Maintain cooperative relationships with staff community partners children and families.
Make informed decisions regarding the level and type of services provided to client families.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
A bachelors degree in human services or a field related to human services and two years of lead work supervision or progressively related human services experience.
OR
A bachelors degree unrelated to human services and completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience in human services.
OR
An associate degree and three years of human services related experience two years of which must have included lead work supervision or progressively related experience.
OR
An associate degree and completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency AND two years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience in human services.

Working Conditions
Your work will be conducted in offices participants homes and other community sites.
Occasional travel is required for attending meetings trainings and other case related activities.
This position may require rare overnight travel.
Employee will work a professional work week. Occasional nontraditional hours may be required including evening and weekend work.
Employee will be on a rotating oncall schedule. The rotating oncall schedule will include evening or weekend work the rotation includes one week oncall approximately every 56 weeks and could vary.
In this role you will handle sensitive issues related to trauma abuse substance use and crises.
You will interact with a diverse range of individuals including those who have experienced trauma and may struggle with emotional regulation.
Position may require public relations work including occasional public speaking. Some use of a personal vehicle may be required at the direction of program or district management.
