LPNLVN - Cardiac days

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) internally referred to as LPN or LVN in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden AL) a member of Prime Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN in our Cardiac Unit you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs administering medications and assisting with patient care.

Bonus Options: up to a $5K bonus

Shifts Available: Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 12 hour shifts 7:00am 7:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

• provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills within the scope of practice that meet the psychosocial physical and general aspects of care
• meets the communication needs of the patient and family
• performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• nurses provide CPR Patient Care Update Documentation Specimens and Vital Signs
• read and monitor EKGs

Education and Work Experience

Before we go any further we do have some dealbreakers. You must have:

• current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed PracticalNurse
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• IV certification within 30 days and maintain current
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• one year experience in an applicable setting
