WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Thermal Utilities Intern position is an entry level position designed to learn the requirements necessary to fulfill a Utility Technician position and support the entire Thermal Utilities team. This is a handson position requiring the candidate to perform technical duties similar to that of a Utility Technician. This position will receive technical guidance from Utility Technicians Lead Technicians Supervisors and the Thermal Utilities Manager.

• Supporting daytoday tasks with direction from Utility Technician Lead Technician Supervisors and Thermal Utilities Manager.
• Perform clerical duties: create and maintain reports etc. in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintenance duties to include the service inspection lubrication and troubleshooting of the interconnected Utility Systems (Ammonia HVAC Steam and Compress Air).
• Assist with servicing and maintaining the various HVAC units both onsite and offsite.
• Assist with identifying and repairing electrical issues associated with HVAC units.
• Assist with replacing HVAC refrigeration components compressors filter dryers valves etc.
• Assist with monitoring and documenting air compressor pressures and temperatures to ensure pressure points are met and identify and correct any issues that are encountered.
• Assist with routine inspections of the compressed air system and repair areas of loss when found.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining a written record of Cold Room and Production room temperatures making system adjust when necessary to meet room requirements.
• Asist with performing Boiler Safety tests and inspections on Daily and Monthly.
• Inspect the efficiency of the steam system identifying steam loss creating corrective work orders for the scheduling of repairs.
• Assist with Maintaining Boiler data logs and record testing results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor in support of Thermal Utilities operations.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to remain compliant with OSHAs Respirator requirements.
• Communicate effectively in English in both written and oral forms.
• Comply with all OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Comply with all Bolthouse Farms Safety Procedures.
• Comply with all Food Safety and SQF requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

1st Shift 6:00AM to 3:30 PM; Overtime Weekends and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
