As a Sr Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on the USAF you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazons utility computing web services (Amazon EC2 Amazon S3 Amazon RDS etc). Your broad responsibilities will include developing and managing a growing book of business across the Air Force. You will lead development of business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define identify pursue and close key opportunities.
You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customers mission and the environment. You will have daytoday interactions with these agencies. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at senior military and civilian levels as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with staff officers contracting officials software developers and architects. You should also have a demonstrated the ability to think strategically about the mission product and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key advisor and member of the leadership team for the Director Air Force Navy and Combatant Command Sales team to drive overall AWS market and service enablement strategy.
Drive strategic engagement with USAF senior leadership including CIOs and PEOs to shape enterprisewide modernization strategies.
Meet and exceed quota
Lead crossfunctional teams in pursuit of strategic opportunities and missioncritical programs
Present strategic reviews to AWS senior management on market expansion and capability development
Work directly with USAF senior leadership to shape enterprisewide modernization strategies.
Translate USAF mission requirements and business opportunities to AWS senior leaders ensuring alignment between customer needs and AWS capabilities.

10 years of technology related sales business development or equivalent experience
5 years of sales management experience
Experience in management of large complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Masters degree or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
Masters degree in technical field or business administration
Experience managing $100M technology portfolios
Business development or consulting background experience working with National Defense and DoD industry customers at the CxO/VP level.
Analytical and datadriven and ability to demonstrate balanced strategy and planning and skills.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business product and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work crossorganizationally to build consensus
Track record of leading largescale digital transformation initiatives
Strong existing relationships across DoD senior leadership
Extensive experience with classified programs and secure cloud computing
Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity
