Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our 1st shift team. The Milling Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up operating and maintaining milling machines to produce parts that meet our exacting standards and specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up milling machines including installing and adjusting tooling.
- Operating milling machines to perform machining operations such as cutting shaping and finishing metal workpieces.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints work orders and technical drawings.
- Inspecting machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers) to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Making necessary adjustments to machine settings to optimize performance and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshooting and resolving machining problems.
- Performing routine machine maintenance.
- Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Milling Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints work orders and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers calipers etc..
- Solid understanding of machining principles techniques and tooling.
- Ability to set up operate and troubleshoot milling machines.
- Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on producing highquality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain high attendance standards.
Compensation: Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties and certifications.
