Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Curriculum Lead for Adult Skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a highquality curriculum that meets the needs of adult learners. This role involves managing a dedicated team to ensure the curriculum is robust engaging and aligned with relevant standards and educational best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:Design implement and continuously improve the curriculum for Adult Skills provision ensuring alignment with local regional and national priorities.
- Team Leadership:Lead mentor and manage a team of delivery and support staff fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Quality Assurance:Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching learning and assessment processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of adult learners.
- Resource Management:Manage the budget and resources allocated to the curriculum area ensuring efficient use to maximise outcomes for learners.
- Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with all relevant funding rules policies and procedures and prepare accurate reports as required.
- Student Support:Develop and implement strategies to support student retention progression and achievement.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Proven track record of building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in developing curriculum plans and managing a team.
- Excellent organisational analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft computer packages and software applications.
- Experience of management within adult education including knowledge on funding.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes.
