Job Description

In this handson rewarding role youll work closely with male patients and carers to engage in light construction projects. Supported by our Palliative Care Workers sessions will be in small groups or on a onetoone basis.

  • Assisting male patients and carers with handson tasks such as making repairing or repurposing items for example crafting bird boxes or creating small practical gifts.
  • Designing and delivering structured engaging activities suited to participants interests and abilities which may be offered as oneoff sessions or as a series over several weeks.
  • Preparing setting up and clearing away materials and equipment to ensure a safe organised and welcoming environment.

We offer care to patients families and carers in the Hospices InPatient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our OutPatients.

We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub in Bramley a large chain of charity shops and out in the community.
