To provide students with a developmentally appropriate English Language Arts and Reading program that fosters academic excellence strong literacy skills critical thinking creativity and a lifelong love for reading and writing. This posting is a pool position to gather qualified applicants for anticipated openings.
Plan prepare and deliver engaging ELAR instruction aligned to state standards (e.g. TEKS in Texas).
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners including special education and English Learners.
Use a variety of instructional strategies technologies and assessments to promote student growth.
Maintain a positive structured and inclusive classroom environment.
Prepare and analyze formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction.
Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate student records.
Collaborate with gradelevel teams interventionists and administrators to support student achievement.
Implement literacy interventions and enrichment activities as needed.
Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Comply with school district policies and state and federal guidelines.
Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
Valid teaching certificate with required ELAR certification (e.g. 48 ELAR or 48 Generalist).
Strong knowledge of junior high English language arts and reading content and instructional strategies.
Classroom management skills and a studentcentered mindset.
Effective interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
