Job Description

Duties (include but are not limited to):Demonstrate knowledge of multiple content areas of scienceDemonstrate knowledge of Common Core Next Generation Science Standards the Vermont Proficiencybased Graduation Requirements and 21st Century learningDemonstrate understanding and applications of best practices in teaching and learning in science as well as the ability to implement proficiencybased lessons and unitsUse assessment information to provide students with feedback which is corrective and informative Enthusiastic student centered and committed to educating all students to high standardsEstablish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment Maintain productive lines of communication with students parents and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all studentsImplement administrative directives in a professional manner (re: new programs and policies)Adhere to all District policies and regulations
