Overview:
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a fulltime Assistant Teaching Professor of Music beginning in Fall 2025. We seek a dynamic and experienced educator to teach music theory for Music Minors and a variety of lecturebased courses that fulfill the universitys general education fine arts requirement. The candidate must have experience teaching both private music lessons and classroombased courses.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished performing musician with a current record of national and international performances. Experience in arts administration and the ability to serve as Artistic Director of the Frank J. Natale Concert Series are required.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching student advising and university service including active participation on departmental and universitywide committees. An interdisciplinary mindset and a willingness to collaborate across programs in the department college and university are essential.
