Job Purpose/Background:
This is a new role that will advise on a wide range of corporate legal and governance issues with a particular focus on the EMEA region (Europe Middle East & Africa) and serve as an important liaison to the corporate legal team. The attorney in this role will report to the Corporate Secretary of BlackRock Inc. who is based at the companys headquarters in New York and will work closely with colleagues in corporate legal roles in the EMEA region and the United States.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated attorney to be part of a small dynamic Corporate Legal team handling a wide range of general corporate governance sustainability public reporting philanthropic and financing matters for the worlds largest asset manager. In this role you will be called upon to advise on corporate governance matters strategic and intercompany transactions and regulatory reporting requirements and will be responsible for managing key aspects of the companys corporate subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy excel at working on a team and across functions and be open and flexible when it comes to new responsibilities as BlackRock continues to innovate and expand its business and operating model.
