We seek an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in our Urology Oncology program in Jacksonville FL. Urologic Oncology is a subspecialty of Urology that focuses on the surgical and medical care of several cancers (prostate bladder kidney testicular adrenal). A candidate will collaborate with attending physicians to provide advanced clinical care. Responsibilities include providing support as a surgical first assistant in the operating room dependent inpatient rounding and ambulatory clinic care. A candidate will collect and document data perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures order and schedule laboratory studies and consultations and provide direct patient care services. They will join a growing team of Urologic Oncologists/Urologists and APPs that pride themselves in working and collaborating population: Urologic surgical oncology (primary) general urology (secondary).Inpatient care:Firstassistant in the OR (robot laparoscopic open cases).Rounding on patients in the acute postoperative phase who are admitted to the hospitalPostoperative wound care and pain managementTimely collaboration with consulting physiciansCoordinating discharges from the hospitalEvaluation of new Care: evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians as well as a multidisciplinary team completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion and performs clinic procedures as : Monday FridayShared night and weekend call: home call for service during the week and weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency RequiredMasters DegreeEducation PreferredMasters DegreeExperience13 years as an advanced practice provider requiredSurgical experienceprevious firstassist experience preferred; laparoscopic and robotic experience a and CertificationMaster of Science RequiredCertified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PAC) RequiredLicensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Required
