Become part of a physician led 650 provider multispecialty group with a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. The Oncology Hospitalist is responsible for management of the medical issues of the patients on the Oncology service.
The Oncology Hospitalist works closely with the ambulatory Medical Oncologists within the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. A dedicated Oncology APP helps with notes and taking calls from the floor. On average there are 1020 patients on the service. The expectation for a 1.0 FTE Oncology Hospitalist is 182 shifts a year. In addition to base pay there is RVU production pay and a quality bonus component to compensation.
Support: Dedicated 10bed inpatient unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is supported currently by one other IM trained hospitalist and two fulltime APPs. SARMC has the full complement of medical subspecialities and surgical subspecialities available for consultation and support.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program
Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS)
Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC Boise
Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
